Reset your brain - Cultivated Management Newsletter
Hi,
This week's newsletter comes to you a day late. For that I apologise. The reason it's late is that I've taken some time off to decorate our house, get some head-space and spend some time with my family.
Being a manager is a lot of fun, but it's not without stress, drama and overwhelm. It can be easy to take the day's burden home with you. I personally tend to dwell on things, so I take problems home when they firmly belong at work. I'm trying to get better at this. I therefore need some time away every so often to get perspective, ensure my relationship with my family is great and to make decisions and plans about where to invest my energy next.
It's good for everyone to get some time away from work and clear your head. As we enter May we're already 4 months in to a new year! Crazy bear or what? As such, if you've not yet taken some time out it might be a good idea to do so. Time away from work has a real rejuvenating effect.
Zero to Keynote
I've been delivering my Communications and Keynote workshops a lot recently. One thing I really enjoy about delivering these workshops is the number of people who go on to present at conferences because of it. It's so positive to hear of people sharing their message from the stage because of the courses I've run. That's why I'm super stoked to announce that I'm writing a Zero To Keynote book. It's still really early days but if you're interested in keeping up to date with my progress then you can check it out on LeanPub.
Don't forget to take some time out from work if you need to.
Until next time..
Rob..
