Charming and Asking For Help - Cultivated Management Newsletter
tHi,
Hope you've had a great week. This week's Cultivated Management newsletter is a short one.
Asking For Help
It can be easy to pretend all is ok and to protect your ego by not asking for help. It's easy to keep pretending all is ok when it isn't. Saving face and all that.
The reality is we all need a little help.
I think not asking for help is a bad strategy. Sometimes the best thing to do is to admit you need help. Asking for help is not a weakness. It's empowering. Management should be about getting stuff done - solving problems, creating solutions, growing. It's not about putting up shields and protecting your ego all of the time. Asking for help is a great strategy for growing personally. Don't see it as a weakness :)
Podcast of the week
I've been reading some cracking books this week but I also stumbled across an amazing podcast. So I thought I would share that instead of a book. It's called The Art Of Charm and can be found on itunes and other podcast sites.
The podcast is about how to improve yourself by mastering communication, your own mind and hacks to be more productive. I'm enjoying their laid back style, informative session, banter and interviews. Really good podcast if you're in to self improvement. Be warned though - there is some bad language in the podcast.
The Art Of Charm
Until next week...
